The Queen City Plainfield Pony team picked up their first victory of the season with a 10-1 victory over Montville. Plainfield’s dramatically improved their game defensively committing only one error for the entire game.
Emerson Jones allowed one run on two hits and struck out 11 batters in five innings.Jones also went 3-4 at the plate with a home run and four runs batted in.Kendall Mayer went 3-3 with a walk and two runs batted in while scoring four runs.
Plainfield improved their season record to 1-2. Next on the slate for Plainfield is Chatham at the Milt Campbell Field in Plainfield on June 23.
