HILLBURN (N.Y) - Some familiar faces returned to the pitch today for Sky Blue FC in a friendly with one of the team's USL W-League affiliate clubs, Hudson Valley Quickstrike FC Lady Blues. Among those back on the field in this 3-0 victory included forward Tasha Kai and defender Meghan Schnur, with defender Christie Rampone making her first appearance in game action this season.

"My body's feeling pretty good, and it's great to get in a full 90 minutes today," Rampone stated after playing three 30-minute sessions. "It definitely felt good just to do the movement the whole time - the up and back of a center back, the sprinting and slowing down. It's nice to be back on the field!"

Rampone is now on pace to be available this Saturday night when Sky Blue FC hosts the Boston Breakers at 7:00 p.m. The veteran U.S. National Team defender game birth to her second daughter, Reece,

this past March and has been quickly working her way back to game shape since that time.

Along with Rampone, another player who is set to return to action on the Sky Blue FC back line is Schnur, her national team defensive teammate. The UConn graduate logged significant minutes in today's exhibition and also played a consistent role in setting up the Sky Blue FC attack.

The third player who returned to action today for Sky Blue FC is Kai, who has already knocked in a pair of goals this season.

"I feel ready for this weekend, and I'm excited to get back into the swing of things," Kai said. "Along with my teammates, I'm going to do everything I can to show the fans a lot of excitement and a lot of goals. I'm just happy to get back out there having fun and doing what I do best."
