May 22nd:
Two Jay Guzman home runs provided just enough offense for the Queen City Major League All-Stars as they defeated the Dunellen Major League All-Stars 11-10 in an exciting contest @ McCoy Park in Dunellen.
Queen City’s Jay Guzman powered his team’s attack with a 2-run blast in the fourth inning and a solo shot in the seventh. Eugene Howard, Jr., Brandan Williams, Eliezer Perez and Alex Mullen delivered key hits for Queen City as well. Trailing 11-6 going into the ninth inning, Dunellen mounted a furious comeback scoring four runs coming within one run of tying the score before Marcus Trotman came on in relief to put the fire out with a strikeout.
The All-Time series record is now 1-1 as Dunellen won the inaugural game last year. |
