The Queen City Yankees defeated the Dunellen Angels 9-5 in exciting intercity action last night at Rock Avenue.Kaliym Islam led the attack for the Yankees going 2-3 with an inside the park home run and three RBI’s.Ciesean Tucker-Grimes went 2-4 while Ransly Familia had a stellar pitching performance giving up only one run while striking out eight to pick up the win for the Yankees.

The Queen City Red Sox overcame a titanic 2-run home run in the first inning by the Dunellen Giant’s Rob Young to defeat the Dunellen Giants 10-7.The Red Sox were able to bounce back behind the hitting of Jay Guzman who was 2-3 with two doubles and three RBI’s.Malcolm Lane also had a double and an RBI for the Red Sox.Young’s blast measured 260 feet.
