The Reds defeated the Yankees 5-2 in major league action last night. Ryan Harris, Idris Joyner, and Jayson Bryant all went 2-3 for the Reds powering their attack while Bryant struck out nine in his pitching duties. Charles Mabry went 2-3 and scored a run for the Reds. The Reds improved their record to 3-1 while the Yankees fell to 0-3.

2 | In an exciting, back and forth slugfest that featured some outstanding play on both sides, the Giants nipped the Red Sox 12-11. With the Giants leading 4-3 after 3 innings, the slugfest began with the two teams combining for 16 runs and 11hits over the final 3 innings. Brendan “Bumble-Bee” Williams had a spectacular hitting performance for the Red Sox going 4-4 with two doubles, 2 singles while scoring 2 runs along with some stellar play behind the dish.
Randy Washington was 2-3 with three runs scored with Mateo Londono going 2-2 with three runs scored for the Red Sox. Jose Batista went 3-3 with three runs scored, Alex Mullen was 2-3 with three runs scored, and Armando Crespo went 2-3 with a run scored for the Giants. Eliezer Perez was the winning pitcher for the Giants. The Red Sox record fell to 2-2 while the Giants improved to 4-0. |
