PLAINFIELD – I had to take a break in reporting for PlainfieldSportsNews.com as I was assigned a military detail, RIP PFC Taborek.
In the last week we have received numerous requests for coverage, while we make decisions on what type of commitment we can make, we will post links and work with the press releases we receive.
PHS Notes
After a conversation with soccer coach Joe Colodne at the Westfield game, I was informed of the individual achievement of one of the senior players on the squad.
Kevin Veliz earned First-Team All-Conference, All-County, and All-Section, along with Third-Team A-State honors for his efforts on the pitch last season.
There is a rumor floating around about the PHS football staff. We are working to verify it before publishing.

SOMERSET (NJ) - 2009 Women's Professional Soccer Champion Sky Blue FC bolstered its attack today with the addition of Swedish National Team forward Jessica Landström.
The Stockholm native comes to Sky Blue FC after recently completing this past season with Linköpings FC, winners of the championship in Damallsvenskan, the premier women's soccer league in Sweden.
