PLAINFIELD – After Plainfield defeated Linden over the weekend, senior guard Ahmid Williams made a promise on behalf of his team.
“We will bring the same intensity for our next game,” Williams said.
Plainfield did just that as Taylor Plummer connected on all of his three-point attempts (4-4) and Sekou Harris scored 11 points in a decisive 19-0 opening quarter run as the Cardinals outran Union 64-25 Tuesday in Plainfield.
Union tied the game on a Diego Reigo trey before the game changing run that put the game away before halftime. Plainfield led 38-13 at the half that increased when Dii’ Jon Allen-Jordan sparked a third quarter 17-2 run with six consecutive points.
