PLAINFIELD (NJ) – The Plainfield Cardinals opened their Pop Warner season against the East Orange Rams this weekend. On Saturday, in a rematch of last seasons championship game the East Orange Junior Pee Wee squad defeated the Plainfield Junior Pee Wee team 12-6.

The Plainfield Pee Wee team officially won a forfeited game 2-0, as the Rams did not dress enough players for the game, but the two teams held a controlled scrimmage in which the score was tied 7-7.

The Plainfield Mighty Mites used a strong running game and dominating defense to defeat the Rams 20-6.
